Lauren is a Canadian actor, writer, musician, sketch comedian, and co-founder of Humblecore.ca. She is a proud member of the LGBTQ2S+community and tends to gravitate towards work made by, and created for her community. A graduate with honors from Humber's Acting for Film & Television program and with a diverse background in theatre as well as writing, and producing, Beatty has a uniquely diverse understanding of her industry and her craft. Her Film & TV credits include 'Flashpoint' (Pink Sky), 'Pay The Ghost' (Voltage Pictures), 'Jigsaw' (Tricycle Productions), 'Another Sad Gay Love Story' (Dog Party Productions), 'Bleed With Me' (BWM Productions) & 'Bloodthirsty' (Voice Pictures/775 Productions).

Her performance in The Last Day (2019) awarded her ‘Best Actress’ at the Toronto 48hr Film Festival. Most recently she had leading roles in indie horror features Bleed With Me (2019) and Bloodthirsty (2020). Both films are wrapping up their festival runs and are set for worldwide distribution in 2021. Lauren recently wrapped on filming the short film Soap about queer friendship - that she co-wrote, co-produced and co-starred in, and is also planning on turning Humblecore.ca into a comedy media empire.
